CHART Regional Training Forums
CHART’s in-person Regional Training Forums (RTFs) are free and open to both members and non-members. Anyone employed by a restaurant, foodservice, or lodging company that is actively involved in creating, delivering, or overseeing training, is eligible to attend.
CHART Training Forums are Expanding:
For years, our RTFs have brought members together to share best practices, build meaningful relationships, and learn in a local setting. While RTFs will still take place in-person on a geographic basis, new Virtual Training Forums (VTFs) will be open to all CHART members, regardless of geographic location.
We have a mix of virtual and in-person training forums. Please be sure to read the description for details on each event.

Virtual Training Forum - Restaurant Franchise Training
Wednesday, October 28, 2026 | 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET
Program Detail:
This virtual meeting is limited to CHART members only, and is capped at 20 participants.
Discussion Leader:
Lauren Mendenhall, SHRM-SCP | Executive Director of Talent & Culture | Life’s Food: Five Guys of the Carolinas
Description:
This discussion forum brings together CHART Members who are training professionals for franchised restaurants to exchange ideas, tackle common challenges, and explore strategies that drive training success. Together, you’ll address the training challenges specific to franchises, share what works, and walk away with fresh perspectives, practical solutions, and valuable connections with fellow CHART members.
Participants will be able steer the direction of the conversation by weighing in on which issues are most pressing to them right now. Some options could be:
- How to marry franchisee training with franchisor training
- How to find balance between franchisee individuality and franchisor oversight
- What technology tools are particularly helpful as a franchisee/franchisor
- How companies can create measurable, accountable, and clear expectations for franchisees
- Any other training issues with franchise-specific facets
Register This Virtual Training Forum is limited to CHART Members who work for restaurants with any franchise units.
CHART Virtual Training Forums: Modeled after CHART’s in-person roundtable discussion groups, CHART’s Virtual Training Forums are not a formal presentation, but rather an opportunity for hospitality trainers to identify the common professional challenges, share best practices on how to overcome them, and generally connect with and utilize insights from their peers who face the same obstacles.
